Formula One: Sebastian Vettel Becomes World Champion 2011

       Red Bull Racing, Sebastian Vettel became the youngest Formula double world champion after taking third place in the Japanese Grand Prix.


The post, a move muscled his rival only remaining title, Jenson Button, gave the lead early German before being adopted by Ferrari and Button, Fernando Alonso. But third place was more than enough to win the world title for a driver who has dominated the 2011 season.

Vettel joins an elite club of back-to-back champions, including Alonso and his childhood hero, Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Jack Brabham, Juan Manuel Fangio and Alberto Ascari.

On the radio team, the Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: "The 2011 world champion Sebastian Well done.".

Emotionally Vettel sobbed back, "Thank you so much for every single individual. We took nothing for granted and we did."
