Amanda Knox Prosecutors Defend Their DNA Evidence

Italian prosecutor Amanda Knox murder case used a white bra today to show how her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito would receive the hook of the bra of murder victim Meredith Kercher's DNA.

Prosecutors also dismissed the work of two DNA experts who were appointed by the court, which found that manipulation of the prosecution evidence was under internationally accepted standards of forensic medicine and was unacceptable as evidence.

His work, the prosecutor said Manuela amenity: "There is nothing scientific about it." He also accused the experts, who are professors of forensic medicine, lack of knowledge and experience necessary to criticize their researchers.

"Could you give us the wedding of his daughter as someone who knows all the recipes by heart, but never cooked?" Asked the court.
Seemed comfortable taking aim particularly at Vecchiotti Carla, one of two experts. "He does not want to investigate (the display), because it has no authority to do so," said the prosecutor.
She complained of what she calls the "false science" in the expert report and stated that the experts "have betrayed the people who appointed them, adding confusion."

Knox, 24, and Sollecito, 27, was convicted in 2009 of killing Kercher, British student who was Knox roommate during what should have been a year of study in Perugia, Italy. A third person, Rudy Guede, was also sentenced for participation in the crime during a separate process.

One of the most important pieces of evidence at his trial was a murder that prosecutors said the DNA of Sollecito Kercher closing throat had been cut or torn from the throat during the attack that left her partially nude and cut throat.

To strengthen his argument, pulled a comfortable white bra and showed the judges and jurors, "as Raffaele Sollecito DNA ended up closing bra."

Pulling with both hands, said: "I urge you here, on this side, and Rudy Guede here."

Sollecito and Knox turned his head to watch his demonstration briefly, but soon returned to Sollecito's lawyers and shook his head.

Comodi said that it is impossible to lock bra was contaminated with DNA from another source that says it was "scientifically false" that the DNA could "fly" on the loop. And while the spread was not collected until six weeks after the murder, he did not leave the room to minimize his chances of becoming infected with the DNA of Sollecito elsewhere in the house of Comodi said.

She said that DNA was a rare Y chromosome Sollecito, which increases the certainty of the forensic evidence.

Independent experts, however, had noticed the lock was left on the floor of the House of Kerch for six weeks after the murder and when he finally was collected as evidence because it was passed around between investigators and then placed in a plastic bag instead of the recommended paper bag. DNA deteriorates plastic, according to experts.
