Amy Winehouse's Duet with Tony Bennett Will Be Released Wednesday

LONDON (Reuters) - finished recording the singer Amy Winehouse before his death in July, a duet with veteran singer Tony Bennett, will be released on what would have been his 28th birthday on Wednesday.

The song and video "Body and Soul" was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London on March 23, and at least some of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Amy Winehouse.

Established by Winehouse's father, Mitch, the charity aims to help young people struggling with addiction. Winehouse was infamous for its abuse of alcohol and drugs during a short career and tumultuous, but by the time of his death was no longer using illegal drugs, a toxicology report showed.

"We had a lovely time together in the studio recording and I knew that Amy was very happy with how they performed that day," said U.S. singerBennett, who recently celebrated his 85th birthday, in a statement.
