Actor-activist Sean Penn visits post-Gadhafi Libya

 

Tripoli, Libya (AP) - Actor and activist Sean Penn, said he admires the Libyans for their value in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.

Penn spoke about his visit to Tripoli on Wednesday.

He refused to comment on the details of what to do in the Libyan capital. But he told Associated Press Television News that he admires "the courage to say we want freedom. Is an extraordinary thing."

Standing outside a hotel, Penn has also expressed confidence in Libya's efforts to make a transition to democracy.

He says that "a huge sale price has been paid, but I think that there is no doubt that they can follow through."

The 51 year old actress has also visited Egypt. He visited Cairo Tahrir Square on Friday.
